Step-by-Step Analysis

  • 2The row already contains numbers 1, 8, 9.
  • 3The column contains numbers 2, 6, 7.
  • 4The enclosing 3x3 block contains numbers 3, 4.
  • 5Only number 5 is possible. Rule out all other options and write in 5!
